Singer Mollie O’Brien and guitarist Rich Moore have steadfastly made it their mission to unlock the secrets of the diverse array of styles that comprise the canon of American Roots Music. Geniuses at interpretation and never sacrificing the essence of the songs they tackle, they are at home with their musical selves. They are unafraid of risk taking, authoritative in their performance and at the very top of their game. And to top it all off, they’re fun.

What’s News?
Good Bye 2023 and to some of the things that we did such as:

Really fun shows at Swallow Hill and New Mexico in January.
A wild and crazy trip through the “Atmospheric River” all over the West Coast in February, culminating with Wintergrass in Washington and shows in beautiful Mendocino County.
A truncated trip to North Carolina and Tennessee; a trip to the Pawnee National Grasslands (please don’t tell anyone how beautiful it is there); two incredible dinners at Peche and lots of peaches in Palisade, CO.
For Rich: lots of guitar teaching, a gig playing for debutants (huh?), and getting to play a pre-war Martin D-28 once owned by legendary old friend David Ferretta (worth $65,000+).
For both of us: hearing Esperanza Spalding at the Denver Botanic Gardens and Lucinda Williams at Red Rocks, a very fun gig with our daughter Lucy at the venerable Gold Hill Inn, gigs for SPURR (more in 2024) and celebrating, for the whole year, our 40th wedding anniversary.
And, last but not least, when our favorite bakery Denver Bread Company closed late summer,  we learned  to make bread.
ONWARD TO 2024 and more bread baking, more SPURR events, gigs in the West, and a big chance to see one more total eclipse on April 8.
Happy New Year!
